  • April 1996 – June 2000: Doctorate at the ETH Zurich: Dissertation on possible applications of plant lecithins in ruminants (Diss ETH No. 13721).
  • September 1989 – April 1995: Studies as an engineer agronomist at the ETH Zurich: Graduated as Dipl. Ing.-Agr. ETH in the field of animal production.
  • 1988/1989: Agricultural apprenticeship year on a mixed farm with dairy cattle, pig breeding and fruit.
  • September 1987: Matura type B in Zurich.

Professional experience

  • Since April 2017: IT and data management responsible and deputy head of research at AgroVet-Strickhof. Structure and operation of the data infrastructure. Support of experimental facilities.
  • November 2008 – March 2017: Head of the research stations of the Department of Environmental Systems Sciences of ETH Zurich. Total management of the stations. Coordination of real estate and infrastructure maintenance. Coordination operation and research projects. Processing of project applications. Participation in teaching and excursions.
  • January 2008 – October 2008: Deputy Head of the Research Stations of the Department of Agricultural and Food Science at ETH Zurich.
  • July 2000 – December 2007: Scientific assistant (Oberassistent) in the group of animal nutrition of ETH Zurich. Responsible for the area «Sustainable Production Systems». Most important task: support of research projects, dissertations and student works, teaching activity and group IT-coordinator.
  • April 1996 – June 2000: Assistant at the Institute of Livestock Sciences of ETH Zurich (group of animal nutrition, headed by Prof. Dr. M. Kreuzer). Conduct of in vitro experiments and feeding experiments with cattle. Support of students in the course of exercises and work.
  • April 1995 – March 1996: Postgraduate course at the Research Institute Tänikon. Data collection in various projects.
